Timeline was only introduced to Windows 10 in the April 2018 feature update, making it relatively short-lived. There are a few notable omissions in Windows 11, which might come as a surprise if you take advantage of the free upgrade. You could be forgiven for assuming that all the best features from Windows 10 would make their way to Windows 11, but that’s not the case.
There’s been a significant visual overhaul, all-new multitasking features and the ability to natively run Android apps, to name just a few. Understandably, much of the focus around Windows 11 has been on its new features. Many have since downloaded the first Windows 11 beta, and interest is set to remain high until its expected October release date. The leaking of an early build ahead of time took away the surprise element, but plenty of people still tuned in for the official announcement of ‘the next generation of Windows’. After Microsoft announced an event for 24 June, speculation surrounding a potential Windows 11 reveal went into overdrive.
Right-click on the ScheduledDefrag tasks and select disable from the context menu.Over the last few weeks, Windows has been thrust into the limelight in a way we haven’t seen for almost six years. Go to Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > Defrag. Type Task Scheduler, and select it from the list of results. 
Tap on the Windows-key to display the Start Menu. While you can manage the optimize drives tasks using the configuration interface, you may also disable it using the Windows Task Scheduler. You may disable the automatic inclusion of new drives in optimization tasks in the configuration menu as well. You may use the last option to turn off automatic maintenance of some drives useful if you don't want certain drives to be included in the optimization. 
Customize optimizations for individual drives. Disable the task priority increase feature if three consecutive scheduled runs are missed. Change the frequency from the default weekly interval to daily or monthly. Enable or disable scheduled optimization of drives. It highlights whether scheduled tasks are enabled and the task's interval.Ī click on "change settings" opens a menu that you may use to disable automatic drive optimization or change other parameters of the maintenance task. Scheduled optimization information is displayed in the lower part of the interface. Analyze checks the drive's fragmentation status and updates it in the interface after the analysis completes. Analyze is only available for platter-based drives.
